Today&#8217;s Facilities Engineering and Management Technician needs an ever-increasing range of skills and knowledge &#8230; a strong foundation of understanding everything from supervision to safety, with the ability to tackle an organization&#8217;s air conditioning, electrical systems and mechanical repair needs, and much more.</p>
<p>This multi-disciplined technician must know the ins and outs of electrical, mechanical and other technical processes. This professional understands the complexity of everything from the environmental controls of a skyscraper to the internal operations crucial to health care facilities.</p>
<p>The Facilities Engineering and Management Technology Specialization at Texas State Technical College is a cross-disciplinary program with intensive coursework in many different areas, from air conditioning and heating to instrumentation and electrical power systems. As a student in this Industrial Management &amp; Engineering Technology specialization, you can build the broad knowledge base that companies nationwide seek in successful facilities engineering technicians. </p>

<p>When any of the estimated 25 million recreational vehicle enthusiasts hit the highways in the United States they can travel easier knowing that there will soon be more qualified technicians to help them stay on the road. Texas State Technical College Waco is offering a Recreational Vehicle Maintenance Technician certificate program to supply the RV industry with needed skilled technicians.</p>
<p>According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association there have been 1.2 million new units sold over the last six years. Add that to the growing number of RV rentals and you have many dealers and maintenance shops searching for qualified technicians to help service and maintain the vehicles. TSTC Waco&#8217;s program was designed by recreational industry leaders to help ensure that graduates of the program possess the strong technical knowledge necessary to service both the interior coach components and the exterior services of the recreational vehicle.</p>
