In most cases technology degrees are two year training degrees. They are training you for a tech position. Engineering's degrees are 4year degrees or on a community college level they are 2 year transfer degrees.
It doesnt mean you couldn't transfer with the technology degree but in most cases you will have to do a few extra classes. I went the techonology route then started a job and went to college part time for a ba.

Have you checked the college website? They should have basic information posted on what you will be learning and what you can do with it.
