actually the verse ur referring to has quite a study with it, that is one of the most commonly referenced verses for attack. i myself was shocked when i read it, and i did my research, as Quran also has a verse saying “study this Quran carefully and with others” so i checked up, and it is with no surprise that arabic is quite difficult to translate into english. one word can have 20 different meanings! that verse, if ur interested, the one u refer to, i can give u more information if u like.

especially the mosque is a sacred place solely for worship and prayer, that is why male and female are separated there, because if they mix, there is an interference with the remembrance of God due to sexual desires, those are natural. ive been in mosque and have many friends that are girls and we used to sneak out and talk and hang out but then i realized i can do that any place else but mosque should be for worship not for my personal desires. it is for the spirit.
