Ive always been fascinated with robots when i was a kid, watched tv shows, movies, everything about them! i wish, i hope that i can get a job that works in robots, as in asimo for instance. what i want to know, is my major(computer engineering technology) a great choice? or are there other things i should look at? anyone who has experience, please help me. thanks!!!

Yes, it will certainly help but robotics is also about mechanical engineering, hydraulics, and electronics. Robotics has become a specialized course of study in itself since these different fields have to all be closely integrated. NASA is probably the best place for general information – see link below.

You would be better off in the long run with an engineering degree.

I work with robotic mechanisms for industry. Just about all the control is via computers. I don’t see how a robot can work without a computer! Most of the work, as a matter of fact, is programming the controllers and transducers that make the robot go. That’s mostly software.
