It isn’t enough that there is a LADIES night at bars (and no men’s night) which is sexist. but in this situation, the GUY still has to buy the girl a drink. That is messed up.

If she asks you to buy her a drink before earning it you can respond with something like “Tell you what. Surprise me and buy me any drink you want and I will do the same for you.” In this case you are breaking even. Or even telling her to buy you a drink and you will get the next round. Or jokingly Whoa, youre going to fast, buy me a drink first. She may even do it showing that she will comply with your requests thus she is interested. But there ARE appropriate occasions to buy her a drink.

It is not submissive to buy a woman a drink if she has earned it, if she has displayed positive behavior and interest towards you. Yes it is submissive to just buy a drink when she has done nothing to warrant your interest.
