Could I transfer from a Engineering Technology Program To a Regular Engineering Program?
February 5th, 2010 | by admin |Could i transfer from Wentworth Institute of Tech, in a mechanical engineering technology program to Umass Amherst which is a Regular mechanical engineering program and have my credits transfer correctly?
Wel im really good at calculus which is the basis of engineering and i havent taken the engineering technology course yet, my back up school is Wentworth, i was just wondering is i went there for a year, got my grades up to a high A ( my GPA is a low A right now) then transfer to Umass Amherst and continue in a Engineering Program.
It’s possible, but few credits would transfer. (General Ed credits would transfer).
Think carefully about this. Engineering Math is very difficult for someone used to the pace of Engineering Technology math. You could end up blowing your GPA with no way back to the BSMET.
It may be better for you to take the BSMET, get NICET Certification as a CET, then go for an MSET.
