“The Lorne Trottier Annual Science Symposium – Preventing Dangerous Climate Change: Geo-Engineering or Mitigation?
Some scientists argue mitigation alone can no longer prevent dangerous levels of CO2. Can we successfully manipulate the climate system to avoid dangerous climate change? Do we understand the global climate system well enough to determine the feasibility and risks involved?
Panel speakers included:
Professor Alan Robock Dept of Environmental Sciences, Rutgers University, NJ
Professor James Fleming Technology and Society, Colby College ME
Professor David Keith Director, ISEEE and Environmental Systems Group, Earth Sciences, University of Calgary
Dr. Phil Rasch Pacific Northwest National Laboratory WA
Following the debate, audience members will be invited to participate in a question period.”
- McGill Program
Keith spoke about using aerosols to deflect the rays of the sun although it wouldnt help with our current CO2 levels. According to him the aerosols would form marine stratocumulus clouds. He used a lot of emotive language in describing the perils to come with climate change and how it is our fault.
Flemming spoke about cloud seeding in Vietnam and Cuba yet continually emphasized how geo-engineering does not exist.
Robock spoke of all the different reasons geo-engineering might be bad including how it may do nothing at all. He did not address any health-related concerns.
“The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum.”

MET graduates have an array of responsibilities, often playing vital roles in the design, development, testing and manufacturing of machinery, mechanical parts and other equipment. Graduates design products, create prototypes, test materials and program computers for Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines and operations. Graduates hold job titles such as mechanical engineering technician, engineering technician, CAD/CAM technician or materials research and development technician.
Machining Program… A specialization of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Texas State Technical College.
The skills today’s machinists must have— and the salaries they earn for those skills—might surprise you. Today’s machinist must know precision machine tools and techniques for using them, computer-aided manufacturing, geometric design and computer numerical control programming, for starters. With those skills, today’s machinists can earn entry-level salaries of $25,000-$28,000 per year, and look ahead at highly skilled tool and die makers’ salaries—in the $85,000 per year range.
Texas State Technical College ‘s Machining program has a proven track record for helping students acquire the skills to manufacture world class ultra-precision machined components … the skills needed in the manufacturing sector to fill thousands of high-paying, secure positions.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program at Texas State Technical College Waco offers hundreds of opportunities to obtain practical, marketable skills with real applications in industry—from the details of creating your toothbrush to the machining of your vehicle’s transmission. The MET curriculum covers manufacturing processes and materials, engineering mechanics, and machine and tool design. MET graduates learn to design, develop and build working prototypes of new products using the latest tools and techniques.
The courses offer intense, real-world applications in Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing, referred to as CAD/CAM in industry, and instruction in state-of-the-art computer applications on some of the College’s most powerful computer systems.
Through a unique partnership with HAAS Automation, MET has established a regional training facility that enhances the learning experience. In this facility, you can learn Computer Numerical Controlled programming and operations.

this is such a stupid question, you should be mature enough to understand the working order of our society.
As I stated before “Love has NO color” I dont have a problem with people who find love from outside out their own race. However, what I cant stand is a person who makes ignorant, rude, offense, stereotypical statements about their own race. Self-hatred at its Best!

What I want to know is which dating site would be best for a guy to use who is looking for a woman to date and have adult relationship with that has the fewest scammers on it?
Yahoo Personals, been there done that. It is a safe environment.
Match.com, seems pretty safe.
E Harmony, safe.
They are all safe, you just have to weed through the bad apples, which there are not many of. Just be careful. I have met two very wonderful guys online, so good people are out there on dating sites. Don’t let anyone convince you that there are not.
With that Heather Locklear TV-movie "Flirting with 40" on tonight, I was curous if there is a movie that portrays the opposite of "40"; showing a much older man dating a younger woman.
"Autumn in New York"…Richard Gere stars as restaurateur/lady’s man Will, while Winona Ryder plays the airy-fairy, oh-too-delicate-for-this-world Charlotte. Will is 48, Charlotte is 22.
